Dating all the way back to the Homestead Act of 1862, people came to the prairies to start a new life. These folks were full of hope and dreams of creating something fruitful and sustainable. To this day, you will still find that same hardworking, salt-of-the-earth kind of people living with a strong foundation of values and ethics, shaping the character of North Dakota.

With personal roots dating back to 1887, the calling to serve these spirited people runs deep. It has always been a passion to honor these multi-generational pioneers by helping enhance the later years of their lives. In addition to being a wonderful place to raise a family, many North Dakota communities are also a beautiful place to retire—offering low crime, clean towns, beautiful summers, and neighbors who still watch out for one another.

As strong as North Dakota is, there is still a clear lack of resources when it comes to serving our senior community. Families are often faced with long drives, limited options, and difficult decisions. Many carry a heavy burden of their own. Sometimes, depending on the need, doctors and services may be far from home. As a result, this can force hard transitions to move loved ones closer to care.  Many will be met with challenges, and overtime that weight can become overwhelming for families.

ND Home Health was built to close that gap and it was time to step up.

We truly believe people should not have to leave their homes or communities to receive dependable, compassionate care. There is something deeply meaningful about continuing to live a fruitful life in the place where life has been lived—where memories were made, routines were built, and comfort has always existed.

The people of rural North Dakota have long been the backbone of the prairie, and they deserve the same level of care and attention as those in any large metropolitan area.

So what is the bigger picture? We want to see more parents, grandparents, friends, and neighbors remain at home as long as possible. We want them to be surrounded by familiarity instead of being forced into unfamiliar environments. That means less stress on families, children, and caregivers who are trying to balance it all, and more peace of mind knowing someone reliable is there to help carry the load.

ND Home Health exists to make stay at home care a more realistic option.

If you are starting to explore care for a parent, spouse, or loved one, the first step is understanding what kind of support might help.  We are available to talk through your situation and help you decide if in-home care is the right fit.

We look forward to serving all kinds of families and friends, because after all, it is one of the greatest honors to care for those who worked so hard on this land to build what we have today.
