Applicant questions
Caregiver Job FAQs
Do I need to be a CNA?
No. CNA certification is preferred for many openings, but it is not required for every caregiver role. Relevant caregiving experience and the ability to complete required training are also considered.
Is this work in a hospital or care facility?
No. These are non-medical, in-home caregiver roles. You will generally work one-on-one in a client’s home rather than in a hospital, nursing facility, or group-care setting.
Are caregivers W-2 employees?
Yes. ND Home Health hires caregivers as W-2 employees.
How does scheduling work?
Schedules are based on client needs and available authorized hours, then matched against caregiver availability and location. The schedule and expectations are reviewed before a client assignment begins.
Is training paid?
Required employer-directed onboarding and training time is paid under company policy. Pay rules and time-recording instructions are explained during onboarding.
How quickly can I start working?
Timing varies. Applicants must complete the hiring process, required screening, employment documents, onboarding, and training. Client work begins only after an appropriate assignment is available and confirmed.
