Common questions

Before You Contact Us

These answers cover the most common questions about services, location, payment, and timing.

What services does ND Home Health provide?

We provide non-medical personal care, homemaker, chore, companionship, respite, supervision, and non-medical transportation services. The exact support available depends on the care plan, service requirements, and local staffing. Compare our services.

Where do you provide services?

Our service area currently includes 13 North Dakota counties. Availability still depends on the address, travel distance, requested schedule, and caregiver coverage. See counties and communities.

How do I start the care process?

Call or submit the care inquiry form. We will review the location, requested services, schedule, payment or authorization needs, and caregiver availability before explaining the next step.

Do you accept Medicaid-funded inquiries?

Yes. Medicaid-funded services may be available when the individual is eligible, the service is authorized, the request fits our enrolled service scope, intake requirements are complete, and staffing is available. ND Home Health does not determine Medicaid eligibility or authorize covered hours.

How quickly can services begin?

Timing varies. It depends on the location, requested schedule, service requirements, intake completion, payment or authorization status, and whether a suitable caregiver is available. We will not promise a start date before those items are reviewed.

Can a family member or referral partner contact you?

Yes. Family members, guardians, care coordinators, case managers, healthcare providers, and other referral partners may submit an inquiry. We may need additional consent or authorization before discussing protected client information.

Do you provide emergency care or skilled nursing?

No. Our current services are non-medical and are not a substitute for emergency response or skilled nursing. Call 911 for an immediate emergency.
